Director of Music  – Parish of Esher

The Parish of Esher, Surrey, seeks a lively, enthusiastic person to be our Director of Music in succession to Richard Coulson B Mus FRCO LRAM ARCM, an outstanding organist, composer, conductor and choirmaster who died in August 2006.

We have a strong musical tradition, with an enthusiastic robed mixed choir and extensive repertoire, and last year completed a £187,000 renovation of our 40-stop 3-manual 1886 Walker organ. Choral service each Sunday morning: major performances on other occasions during the year, and normally an annual series of concerts.

The right candidate will be an inspiring musician, who will build on the existing foundations while having a clear vision for the future.

Top RSCM based remuneration, plus fees (about £2500 in 2006) and six weeks annual leave. Assistant Organist is an ARCO.
