This body of people is unique in performing two separate functions at the same time:

On the one hand, we are the Rochester Diocesan Church Music Committee;

On the other, we are also the West Kent Area Committee of the Royal School of Church Music.

This arrangement was mentioned as an example of good practice in the report of the 1992 Archbishops’ Commission on Church Music “In Tune With Heaven”.
